Heritage vintages range

IGP Île de Beauté

"O Bà! "is a new wine added to the estate's "Heritage Vintages" range. It bears this name, which means "daddy" in Corsican, in homage to my father, Pierre-Joseph Leccia, who passed on to me his passion for this profession.

The vineyard

  • Geology

    Locality Partinelone. Clay-limestone soil on a schist base.
  • Cultivation method

    Organic farming, traditional tillage, organic amendments.
  • Yield

    40 hl / ha
  • Harvest

    Manual, sorting of bunches, they must be healthy and ripe.
  • Filtration

Winemaking

  • Density

    4000 vines/hectare
  • Vinification

    The grapes are destemmed, then put into stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature of 25°C to 30°C. Vatting time of 15 days, frequent pumping over. The grapes are then decanted and pressed. Blending of free-run juice and press juice.
  • Fermentation

    In stainless steel vats, thermo-regulated for 15 to 20 days. End of alcoholic and malolactic fermentation before racking.
  • Maturation

    12 months in stainless steel tanks

Tasting

Very ripe red fruit on the nose, with hints of leather and spices. Supple and greedy mouth with liquorice notes, the tannins are very silky. The nielluciu gives structure, the minustellu gives roundness while the grenache brings the fruit.

Suggested pairing

Leg of lamb in a garlic and lemon confit crust with a yam purée.
